Email works in a fluid environment.    Changing are the laws, industry standards and customer expectations.    Change include the coming and going of well-known email platforms, the merging of companies or the total disappearance of a well know email brand.   The fluctuating email environment will bring new ideas, new strategies, new opportunities and I’m sure new problems and concerns we have yet to think about.  There are some emerging trends such as:    AMP    Apple Dark Mode And then there are rules, regulations and Laws We have the Can Spam Act 2003 GDPR  SPAM State Laws California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) 2020 And Maine with their new privacy law starting in July 2020 The future will have more laws and regulations, more design, developments and definitely, more technology upgrades. And then to lessen the SPAM ISP’s will continue to require: SPF DKIM DMARC And introducing BIMI

Avoid a WEB SITE MIX UP

When a website requires a username, password, credit card information or just about anything that is personal, you would expect that website to collect and forward that information in an encrypted format. After all, this is sensitive information, and in the age of identity theft, we cannot be too careful when sharing private information.  When you do, you expect the website you’re dealing with to be secure.  When using a web browser, a secure connection to the website you’re looking for, is normally indicated by an S that is added to the HTTP in the web address of that website. The S on the end of the HTTPS indicates to visitors that all sensitive information is secure, and the data passed, whether sensitive or not is: Encrypted, unreadable, AND the website is authenticated – they are who they say they are.
